Downing Street Playgroup remains committed to ensuring the highest health and safety standards are being maintained within our school. In order to ensure the health and safety of our children and teachers, Downing Street Playgroup practices the following in order to stay safe:

• Staying home if sick.

• Washing hands often or using hand sanitizer when washing is not feasible as in during outdoor playground times.

• Maintaining a clean classroom and facilities.

• Utilizing open windows and/or an air purifier to ensure ventilation and clean air.

• Every child and adult entering the classroom must be up to date on vaccinations mandated by the DOHMH.

COVID-19 Precautions

We strive to prevent the spread of Covid-19, and take every precaution to keep our community safe. We follow all DOHMH guidelines regarding responses to any suspected or known cases of COVID-19, as well as following the mask guidelines for staff and children after having, or having been in contact with someone who had COVID-19.

We will continue to follow the advice of public health officials and to keep our community safe and informed. We encourage practicing these safety measures in and out of the classroom.
